I like that them dogs right up under him that is so important. I have seen several dogs killed outright by horses our mules that were new to them. My dogs are so trusting becasue they just live all day everyday with my horse. But if you bring a strange horse or mule in that is not use to that they still walk right up behind them and that can be a really bad deal. Horses kick out not neccesarily directing it or targeting but a mule takes aim before he fires and he seldom misses.
Thanks Mike, he is a good mule. I had to make some decisions this last year. I blew my knee out pretty bad this last winter following the hounds. It was find a ride, or find a new hobby. I found a ride. I made my living on horses first half of my life, but never touched a mule. I decided this go around, I would give it a whirl. I am well pleased. Good, safe, steady mountain mount. This old mule has been following hounds for 30 plus years. Just sit down, hang on and he will do the rest. I have been re visiting country I haven't been in for 25 years.
LCK, That is a great looking mule. I have one that looks just the same, to a tee. I will have to get some pics of her on here. Very nice ride
