Tring to get started in colorado

Hey guy's I'm Bret and live in great cat country in Colorado. I have gone hunting several times with friends and loved it. I am looking for a couple finished dogs and equipment "and helpful hints" to get started. I have shot a couple of cats even without dogs because there are so many around here. We can't hunt bear here so I am looking for dogs that can run lion's and bobcats. Hope to talk with you all, soon.

Welcome to the fun world of hounds. I live in SW CO by Durango. Where are you at? I have a well broke hound that has caught his own lion. PM me if you are interested. On the side of info about hounds- there is no magic # for hounds on a lion. I have a friend that caught around 60 lions over the course of 5 yr. with one to two dogs. One day he lost his best one to a mean lion. I prefer 3 hounds on a lion but I have caught a several with one due to split races or dogs that wanted back in the warm truck early .
