Hello from Washington

Postby Dry-Run » Sun Jul 01, 2007 4:19 pm

Hi everyone, my handle is Dry-Run. I'm still what I consider a very
greenhorn houndman. I live in Cle Elum,Wa its between Seattle and
Ellensburg and about thirty miles east of the Cascade summit.

For dogs I got a yearling Walker cross from jcathunter, hes a good
dog he flat likes to search tree tops. I got a Bluetick pup from
Matt in Utah, man- thanks alot for that dog. She has a bark that will fill the room and have you looking for more windows to open to let out some of the noise. The only dog I've ever owned that will sit and gripe and expect to get the last word in no kidding, shes a back talker but is
showing she can trail a scent rag pretty well. Last dog is a Karelian
bear dog thats 18 months old.

I don't chain or kennel my dogs, they live in the house with me, and
patrol our 11 acres making sure no rodents or skunks take up
residence. Being that Wa. don't allow us to hunt much with dogs I
pretty much try to go to other states to hunt.

Well happy hounding--Dry-Run

Welcome, Some nice country up there, never took the dogs, but spent some time scouting up in those High lakes up in that part of the state Just east of ellensburg.

Sure wouldn't mind going back up there again, Keep debating on going deer hunting up there one year.

Hey Spanky, Ya I can't remember the guys name your taking about
but I read his reply to Matt on that cross. He say's they're alittle
hardheaded!!!!! No I don't think so, they know what and when she
wants to do something I'm just to dumb to figure it out. I sure do like her.

Buddyw; What part of wa. you from? I know you've said but I can't
remember. Yes it's pretty but it sucks not being able to hunt only
rabbits(hares) and coons. Up east of Ellensburg 2years ago I
shot a nice cow over near Badger Pocket, but since them it's been
tag soup!

Well talk to you later---Dry-Run

If you learn how to marinate those things they aren't that bad! It's kinda an aquired taste!

I'm live in SW just above vancouver. I have a buddy that lives in Ellensburg.
