New to the Game

Hello all, I live in northwest New Mexico. I am just starting out in the game of hunting with hounds. My friends got me interested in hounds by taking me with them and showing me the photos they have. Currently I have 1 finished bear dog that rigs a runable bear track, blows the top off a tree, medium nosed. I would like to start trying to run her on cats, but the previous owners never tried her on cats so I don't know if she would or not.
Then there are my 2 pups. They are 5 months old and have been hittin the roll cage like champs. They are from dogs that are great cat and bear dogs. I got them for free so I could'nt turn them down. I have a question posted in the Big Game section if anyone could help me out with that. Thanks

Where in new mexico are you from? I live in gallup and am just getting started also and i am looking for other people to hunt with. I currently have a couple buddies that do it but i am always looking for more! I don't have any finish dogs i just have a couple "started pups" but am wanting to run bear and cat with them!

i am in farmington and just got started as well.i got my first dog on saturday from a guy down in regina.hes a redtick and has been lightly started.i hope he works out.always looking for aomeone to hunt with.what town are you in?
