Oregon not the best hound friendly state.

Postby tagged out taxidermy » Thu Jan 01, 2015 4:29 am

Hi all my name is Jory I live in eastern Oregon and love to hunt here. how ever Oregon is not very friendly to hound hunters. I am primarily a trapper but do run hounds as well. I am running plot and labs.
I do not run bear but have found that plot make great bobcat and coon dog (at least mine do).
And labs are surprisingly good at trailing and get aggressive.
I was glad to find this form and look forward to meeting every one.

Pretty cats. I seen your posts on Facebook last year before prineville. We aren't super hound friendly but sure can put the heat on some ole bobcats!

Think oregon is bad? Try Washington! Even worse. Nothing seems to be going on here. It's discouraging for a brand new (and not young) coonhound owner. I'm trying to train my dogs myself.
