I was on here about a year ago... finally got back on but had to get a new name (was bearhuntnplotts before). I'm in Happy Camp, Ca , 21 yrs old, been huntin bear for 19 years, and have a pack of 5 plott females (no reason they are all girls, just happened that way). My dad would carry me in his big back pack to the trees. He couldn't leave the house to go huntn without me- mom wouldn't let him cuz she didn't want to deal with the fit i'd throw
..... My old dog (12) is descutes river and brandenburger bred and she ain't about ready to give it up. She still runs/trees hard and can keep up with the others (maybe 1 or 2 min behind is all she will get). Next i've got 2 full sisters that are 4 yrs. They are Dollins and star mtn bred. One is my lead dog, the other will be a real good dog too once i get her broke off deer (just don't get the chance very often). Then i've got a 4 yr old half weimeranner half plott (plott side is all dollins). She is the runnin star of the show, she'll do it all, but lacks just alittle in everything but runnin. Last i've got a 2 year old star mtn female. Shes runnin and trackin her own, gettin better on the trees and rides on the box but hasn't struck yet. I don't have the best dogs around- but i can catch bear and have plenty of fun with em and that's all that matters to me!
