New from WI

Hey, new guy from NE Wisconsin. Name is Dean. Have had dogs all my life but just getting into hounds. Here is my 17 month old Walker/Trigg cross. Ran him on yotes this winter and he did a nice job. Hope to get him in a few bear races this summer as well. I know running hounds aren't the most conventional all purpose hound but I'm gonna give him a try....

welcome. The guys who use running hounds swear by them and some of the more prominent guys are the ones using them or crosses. there's gotta be something to or they wouldn't be doing so well. what's the back ground and breeding of your hound?

To be honest I couldn't tell you the lines....just know that the sire was a yote dog and the dam was a bear bred trigg dog. Got him from a good ol boy hound guy up in the sticks in Northern Wisconsin.....He might be a crossed up mess but he seems to be working so far..
