Doing some homework before I get a dog

My name is Jeremy and I currently only own a weimaraner (I know not a hound). Live in Central Ohio and love doing just about every kind of activity you can think of outside.

My wife has a friend/co-worker that raises Redbones and she has taken a liking to them. Her friend said anytime we wanted a pup he could find us a good hunter! So I am looking to do my homework before she comes home with a coonhound.

I don't have a lot of training experience as the weim is my first gundog. But I have been learning from some great people and hope to do the same here.

Well every breed has their stand outs! Just make sure it is from A hunting pair. Seem around here there is more breeders then hunters.
