you owe it to your hounds and yourself to get a unit. You will spend countless hours looking for hounds and dropping coats if you don't. The fuel cost alone will pay for the sytem :wink:

Yea 10-4 on the tracking equipment, I bought a Magnum box after using wildlife for 20 years and it's kinda nice when you hunt with diff. people and they have diff. freq. collars as you can track all freqs. Heck for now if ya cant afford a dog box just threw together a plywood one to haul them in. Good luck and always have fun out there. Mike

so it sounds like a tracking system is more imortant than shock collars any that do both?

I think there are some for bird dogs but I don't think they have the range required for hounds.But I might be wrong. I am wrong,the collar I seen is a beeper plus shock collar.
