Re: Greetings from Russia
Welcome Sergey. What do you hunt with your dogs?
Re: Greetings from Russia
In Russia basically with hounds hunt on a hare and a fox. Use hounds at hunting for a lynx, a wolf, a wild boar, an elk very little. At hunting for a bear, a wild boar, an elk use other breed of dog - Laika
Re: Greetings from Russia
What type of hound do you run fox and hare with?

Hello Sergey and welcome to the forum.
I think that the way you hunt and the dogs you are using is very similar to what we are using in Sweden.

Cobalt. We in Russia have 2 breeds of hounds: the Russian hound and Russian tricolor. Now I am breed Russian tricolor. If is interesting I send you a photo on your mail.
Hello Fredrik. Yes you speak truly. In Russia hunting with hounds passes as in Sweden. But at us on a wolf hunting is resolved all year.

Hi Sergey
I live in northeast Ohio, USA and I hunt coyote and fox. Do you have any coyotes in Russia? I would be very interested in getting information about Russian hounds and hunting written in English.
My granddaughter spent 9 months living in Kirov last year and she liked living in Russia very much. She has plans of maybe going back again. Hope to hear from you soon

Nice looking dogs. How long is a fox race?
Re: Greetings from Russia
Соваlt, excuse I hasn't understood your question.
Re: Greetings from Russia
How much time does a race go on for?
Re: Greetings from Russia
Cobalt,
All depends on dogs. Usually it is easier to hounds to work on a fox. Dogs can long work. We in Russia speak - the good hound should drive to a gun (yet you will not kill an animal).
