Newbie from SW Oregon

I am trying to get started with hounds and would appreciate any input. This past weekend I took my two boys to a youth coon hunt and with borrowed hounds my youngest son took first place. It was great to get my boys out chasing dogs and my hope is that I can find a way to continue running hounds with them. I would like to find some houndsmen down in my area, and am hoping to find either a well broke older dog (don't have a lot of money to spend on one) or possibly a puppy given the right circumstances. Just looking for something that will put put coons up a tree without running a lot of trash......Thanks

We are down in the Grants Pass/Rogue River area. I have been hunting deer and elk since I was a kid and now take my boys hunting. They both love it. I've just always thought that anything I can do with a dog is more fun than without one. I'm not sure where Powers is but let me know if you're ever in our area hunting.

Just picked up two pups yesterday. Both are Walkers with a little bit of Trigg. Going to try to post pictures later. Can't wait til their old enough to start hunting.
