Hello,
My name is Jassen Swisher from Wellston, Ohio. I have been hunt feral hogs for 2 years and 4 months ago got some dogs. I have a half plott/ half pit catch dog. I am training 2 half Blue Tick half boxer pups. In two weeks I am picking up a Pocahontas Plott pup from Eugene Walker out of Walker's Glory and Walker's Chopper. For Southern Ohio you need a strong hound foundation to hunt these hogs cause they are real deep and we don't have the volume of pigs of what they have in Texas or Florida. We hunted with some good guys that bought curs from the south but a straight cur isn't deep enough. We want to work with plott hounds for a while and I am fortunate to live 4 hours from Mr. Walker who has an exceptional blood line.
