I co-own an 11 month bluetick coonhound with a friend who lives in Seattle. Indigo Blue lives here with me. So far in her young life the only thing she's treed is my old cat. She's a great dog but is proving to be a little hard for me to handle. I'm 68 and I can handle her on a leash if I use a choke collar but not with her buckle collar. She's just too strong for me. Her other owner lives in a small mobile trailer and can't keep her there. She's had a basic obedience course. She's UKC and AKC registered. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I would suggest spending more time with her on basic obedience training. Just work on her handling.
