Hello from Idaho

I started bear & cat hunting with hounds on the Washington Coast in the late eighties. I was hooked on the first day after watching a good pack of dogs work a rough bear on the ground. After that day I started buying dogs and trying dogs until I almost went broke. But I finally ended up with a pack of hounds that would catch bear, bobcats, and cougars consistantly in some of the wettest and roughest conditions on the Washington Coast.
Then in 1996 bear & cat hunting with hounds was OUTLAWED. I continued to catch several bear every year for the Timber Companies around Aberdeen and Forks Washington. But I finally got tired putting in for Damage Hunts and filling out paperwork for each bear I killed, so I moved to Idaho in 2006.
Since then I have been lucky and haven't lost any hounds to wolves, and I have been catching bear like crazy!
