Smoky Mountain Bear Hunter

I'm a fourth generation bear hunter from the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. Unlike a lot of hunters in my area, I no longer use hounds for bear hunting - I hunt with Mtn Curs. My great grandpa had brindle, red & black dogs that were called "Plott Curs". My dogs look like the old time Plott dogs back in the 40's & 50's. Not the long eared type of Plotts that you see now days. My dogs are not the little ring neck squirrel dog type of Mtn Curs. They look like the old time Plotts. They have a medium nose, hunt on the run and are aggressive on a mean bear with plenty of tree power and a very good homing instinct and unlike many of the hounds I owned in the past, they handle extremely well. This type of dog may not be for everyone but they are what I enjoy hunting. I want a dog that likes to please me rather than one that couldn't care less about me. I have a nice litter of pups advertised on the forum so check out the pictures.
