New to Hog Hunting in Georgia

Hey everybody! I was doing some online research (googling) earlier and came across the forum, figured I'd give this thing a shot. I'm an APBT owner in midwest Georgia (right on the GA/AL line) and I've been involved with the breed for nearly a decade now, doing all manner of conformation shows and weight pulls, etc. and I was a veterinary surgery technician for five years as well. My dogs usually run around the mid-30 to 40lb range, but somehow I ended up with some massive (for me, anyway) pups this year and since I've always been interested in hog hunting, I decided now would be the time to jump in! I've only been on a couple of hunts before, and always as a spectator, but I'd really love to get the dogs into a sport that they can really sink their teeth into - hah. I don't know the first thing about training catch dogs, so I'm hoping to meet some nice folks on here who won't be too put off to help teach a newcomer and her dogs how it's done.

Looking forward to reading a lot of good information and stories around here, and hopefully getting to know some of y'all and your hounds as well.

ETA: Suppose I should mention that I don't mind traveling one bit. Just about everything is a short drive for me, so if you're in the southeast and willing to hunt, I'm willing to make it there.
