Currently living in Panhandle of NE, F+G found enough lions in the Pine Ridge to apparently start work on creating a season for lions in NE. Apparently similar to SD, so you can run cats and shoot bobcats but not lions.
I spent 40 yrs in Alaska, where dogs on any game are not used, well birds are OK. I have had
sled teams myself and remain interested in the long distance dog races. Those guys have found out a lot on conditing and training dogs.
I am interested in a lion hound or two but already have a time and money consuming hobby, actually got on to post a found hound add in Hot springs SD.Good luck
