New to hounds

Hello From Idaho I am new to hounds and am here to learn I have a cur pup she is 9 months old and have been hunting coyotes with her she does some things really well some not so much. the problems I am having are these she stays about 100 to 200 yards around me when I am calling great right until she picks up a scent then she follows until she gets tired getting harder to get her tired as she gets older. I have her trained to come back to a tone on her collar a Garmin Delta sport it is suppose to reach out 3/4 of a mile I believe what is happening is that in the rough country some times I can't reach her with the collar. I believe she will blood trail without a problem I know from watching her she scent trails very well. some of what is happening I lack of know how on my part. The dog seem to be smart enough to learn what ever I am able to teach her.
