All,
I just recently created an account, and I am writing from Wasilla Alaska. I don't own any dogs, but I had helped run dogs on bear, coyote and coons in Wisconsin before I went into the military.
I am currently a wildlife specialist for a federal agency, and a student at the University of Alaska. I spend my free time hunting and fishing, and am especially passionate about bear baiting and archery hunting.
I am looking to start running dogs on black bear. Like I said, I have been around dogs and helped run them, but for all intents and purposes I am definitely a novice. So, I am first and foremost looking for someone else who is currently running bears in Alaska. I'd be willing to pay fuel or something to go out hunting with someone to learn the tricks of the trade for hound hunting in Alaska.
I am already familiar with the hound regulations for Alaska, and am aware of the biologist I need to see in Palmer.
Thank you all for your time.
