Hi I have just found this website today and love it !
I have only been hound hunting a couple of times and have just gotten my own dogs just before christmas.
I have a 3 year old redbone female
A 4 year old walker male
and a 5 month old walker plott mix male
I havent got them on any live game yet but the redbone responds well to a drag, the walker does not . Any words of wisdom on this?

get them on some game and see what he does.

Whether or not a dog responds to a drag is irrelevent. Try them on live game. If the 4 year old doesn't respond to live game already then I'd try another dog. Good luck.

Welcome,What do you intend to hunt? Bearkiller has some good advise.I wouldn't fool with a 4 yr old that didn't hunt. lot's of good advise and encouragement here,take advantage of it,and again,Welcome!

I am in Nampa right now for the PBR. I went after a lion with a friend friday morning. Found an old track but not runable. Wish you well and welcome to the site.
