I have hound hunted since I was 11 first tree I was on was a 150 lbs black bear in Oregon, retired from the military and have introduced my kids to hunting with hounds. My wife bought two bluetick hounds from Paul Koepke. I have sence acquired four hounds 1 from Michigan (Cameron) two from South Carolina and one from Indiana All heavy Vaughn blood. I have hunted with all the breeds except Black and Tan. Well anyway thanks for having me aboard.
From left to right Triston with Duce, Shane with Banker and myself with Pup the pup trainer.

It was Around the clackamas, Was lucky enough to have a good Friend on a Timber permit willing to show a new guy something..
What a trip.. As we were walking into the Tree, we seen a Sow and a little 15lb cub not 150yards from the tree, We made the tree, the bear jumped out and we and spent the next three days hunting for dogs.
All in all I think we spotted 11 bears/cubs one was in the tree, and one Mountain Lion sitting on a Stump in the middle of a Clearcut. I'll never live that mountain lion down, I jumped out of the truck and yelled Come here DOG!! Then as I watched it run away I realized..Hmm
that wasn't a Dog! .. and the Box was empty for every single bear/lion we saw!
Man I was Pumped that weekend.. The old timer was pissed, cause we had empty dog boxes!! Guess I didn't realize how lucky/or unlucky we were depending on how you looked at it!! Either way I was hooked.

i will tell you something that hound LCK let me buy is a easy keeper good looking and friendly as a pup hunts hard and they have no quiet in them i really like her. and i think that smaller they are sometimes helps the speed because she is fast she can tree hard to.and they say its not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog and that could not be more true with LCK hounds. I will get all my hounds from LCK he know and has great hounds
