How to become Non-Profit

Will some one help me with our non-profit statis. Buddy directed me to Utah for info on help with our hound club setting up our non-profit. We are a club in Washington State but I thought someone may be able to help us in the right direction..........I'm under the impression that Utah hound club is non-profit...

Here is a place to start. The Secretary of State for each state is responsible for what you are wanting to accomplish.

The UFH is non profit and it helps out to be set up like that. Also you are an organization instead of just a club. When dealing with other sporting groups, state ect.. gives you more credability. I just went to the state building where you get applications for setting up business's (corp, llc) and applied for the UFH as non profit corp. Paid the fees and got the insurance and it has ran that way since. Also picked up a tax number so we dont have to pay tax on stuff. You can get a hold of an accountant in your area and they can help you too.
