you are going to the land of the pop up bears...... thats what i call it. i have hunted there a lot even lived in garden valley for 3 years. there are lots of bears there one of the local outfitters has killed over 30 bear a year for the past 4 years, but watch out for the wolves on the harris crk summit lost two dogs to them last spring.... good luck

hello I am moveing to homedale idaho and i am exci. about lion and bear hunting I have three hounds that will tree coon and small cats but i dont know were to hunt around there and is that enough dogs two run lion and bear

hey do you have to draw a spring bear tag or can you buy one in idaho .

Tags are over the counter but there are some draw areas and some not open to hounds in the Spring

hey thanks for the info i checked the game regs for a closer look and found that out thk for the info just need some hunting buddys to go with now oh and a new tracking sys. hope to buy a garmin

good luck over there. I baught my garmin system and 2 extra collars for about 700-750 , baugh it at amazon.com. I am moving out f washington next spring . Still in th air where to go Idaho, Sothern Wyoming, South Dakota.
Idaho is so full of wolves. Hard to find work.
Well have fun over there. N good luck with yor dogs.
I run mine with bells here in washington and will always keep that practice up.
You may want to keep that in mind. I know a few outfitters and friends overthere who use bells on the dogs and have had good luck detouring the wolves.
