Does anyone pre bait cubbies for fishers? Does it work or don't they return to bait? What bait works best? I don't know much about fishers. This will be my first year trying. We only have a five day season so my window is very short. Any tips at all are much appreciated.
Thanks!
Tips for fishers?
Re: Tips for fishers?
Do they allow you to hunt them? If so, I have known of some trash races that ended up with a fisher in a tree. They said it was a pretty good race too, wishing it was a cat.
Check trapperman.com
I have seen many fisher sets while cat hunting, but can't really recommend them as I never saw them catch anything other than my dogs. But they were 220 conebears gaurding wooden boxes of 220 size, or buckets, with the slots cut for the springs. Always beaver meat for bait, and skunky smelling call lure. I don't know if they pre baited.

Pre-baiting works excellent. Especially with the short season we have in MN.
A good dog hunts wherever he's set down.
