Here is my 2 cents, like it will change anything. This law is a bs and we all knows it! All the bears that is killed are within the quote that is being sold to the public. Throughout the the whole years that I have being hound hunting, there is not a single year that we went over the projected tags that are being sold. The anti is a larger organized organization with more $$ that makes things happened the way it did. Politicians have never been a core value to me. Politicians as we known are driven by $$. People who we voted in office are nothing mere puppets to big organization. They have won and I give them the credit for that. We houndsmens are not politicians. We majority are simple people who love doing what we love to do. We all understand that this fight will not end here. The question is, how are we going to stand against the powerful alliance? I come from a poor society, never been a kiss ass, never being born with lots of money. How can we bring this to the ballots, where we the public can have a chance to cast our vote rather than mere puppets who are driven by Big organizations?

The problem wingmaster is they will out spend use in a ballot measure, on adds in the big city's and such this will be a tough battle for sure. I know one thing for sure if we don't start voting and learn more about politics we will be screwed for many years. I as you wasn't borne with a silver spoon but you never want to stop learning especially when it comes to your enemies and what they may do next. One thing is for sure is we have to stick together through the good and bad times that's what makes you stronger as a formidable foe to the anti hunting groups. Stay in the woods its safer there lol.

Now that bear hunting is illegal with hounds, what's the need to have dog closer zones ? Has anyone heard if the closers will be dropped from the Regs ?

If Fish and Game is changing to Fish and Wildlife will Game Wardens now be called Wildlife Wardens?

They don't change regs. in california just add to them, then they always have you on something this place is run like Europe just move to the city and get a forest manager to keep your gun and tell you what animal to shoot. About the name change guarantee that was recommended by hsus it makes there transition take over easer and they don't have to use there money to change the name on everything can you say SUPER MAJORITY ALL YOU STATE AND FEDRAL WORKERS OUT THERE WATCH WHAT HAPPENS NEXT THANKS BIG UNION WE ARE SCREWED BECAUSE OF GREED. We just sit back make money for trade of freedoms is all Im trying to say we all do it, so when it bites us in the rear we know why. CA has more state, fed. county and city works than half the usa it just gets bigger higher taxes to pay for the bs and more tickets and laws and lawyers to figure it all out a ticket is a easy way to tax you with out most figuring its a tax you are better off not getting the regs. just shoot what you can eat and respect the wildlife you harvest then you will be doing the morally right thing. I run my dogs on a leash its the law

Hey Mark, you might be right about running your dogs on a leash. Last week a forest cop made a point of telling me they enforce El Dorado county leash laws in the national forest.

Hey Guys

I have lived in Southern California for more than 60 years but this time with this kind of crap legislation they have crossed the line. I was once proud to live in the state but if this is how they plan on running it I am getting out. The disgust I feel towards the Senators and the Governor is beyond words ! I thought that we elected these clowns to serve our needs not be self serving and filling their pockets with money.
In my case I am moving out which I am sure the anti's will love but they do not realize that I win also ! I do not have to live with people who just have to impose their views on all the rest of the people even if they do not want to live their way. I will laugh really hard when those who are doing get it done to them ! There so many four letter words that fit this comment but I will not stoop to their leve.

Good Bye As soon as my Home Sells

Justaguy- I agree with you. But you better move as fast as you can. You'll be heavily fined for leaving if you hang around too much longer and Jerry brown gets his way. I'll post the link to the LA times article I'm referencing in just a few minutes.

Next time some forest cop tries to enforce the El Dorado County leash law in the National Forest place him under citizens arrest for misdemeanor interfering with a hunt, that is if your dog has not been "dispatched". Come January I will be one coon and fox runnin' son of a gun, following the law to a t and I bet I will still get the shaft but it will make for one hell of an article for Full Cry. -Pete

ooops. CA Fish and Wildlife Code Section 2009 (d) This section does not apply to the actions of any peace officer or personnel of the department in the performance of their official duties. This section does not obstruct the rights and normal activities of landowners or tenants, including, but not limited to , farming, ranching, and limiting unlawful trespass. U.S Forest Service rules state in Title 36, Chapter 11, Part 261, Subpart A, Section 261.8 Fish and Wildlife, The following are prohibited to the extent federal or state law is violated:
(d) Possessing a dog not on a leash or otherwise confined.
WTF? Any lawyers out there that could clarify this legal morass?

We haven't lost the war, just this battle. I hope to see some kind of legal action by CHC, COHA, USSA, etc. after the first of the year. Just got me a new black and tan pup out of Enid, OK. and I will be one coon huntin' son of a bitch after the first. -Pete
