I'm the kind of guy that would have to see something like that to believe it but I have heard a few sounds in the woods at night that I can't explain and it creeped me out.The worst one was something that sounded just like a woman wailing or screaming in fear.I was listening for my hounds in the dead quiet about midnight and heard the sound quite close.I thought about going to investigate but I was by myself and I chickened out.Anybody know what kind of critter might make a sound like that ?

I have heard some strange sounds in the woods at night as well. But I knew what was making the sounds. Lions can make some screams and such that sound like someone dieing in agony they only do this during mating. Also foxes can make some screams that sound like someone in pain not nearly as loud as a lion but these are mating sounds as well. Coutimondi can sound like monkeys and if you get a whole troop going its realy spooky.
As for Bigfoot I have not spent enough time in realy deep nothern woods to say one way or another... but sure would think with all the people trapsing about in the woods these days we would have a good picture at least by now. A point to think about is how little habitat is left that could hide something like a bigfoot... and its shrinking. If there was something out there it could have just died out without anyone ever seeing it... get one bad year and a small population of animals either has to move to beter feed or die. Ofcorse we have not found any bodies... but I have also seen a decent sized bear around 200lbs reduced to scattered bones in less than a week, not saying how it died...
