Exercise, and not just a walk around the block. That pup needs to run. Get on a bicycle or something and let it chase you, make it fun, make it a game. Everyday run the piss outta that pup. It will make a diference, Good luck and have fun.

I built a jail complex. and use bark collars. Each dog gets taken out at least three times a week. Pup pen is larger. Also, I let them out into the fenced yard if they need to strech legs during off time.

First of all, you say she only 11 weeks old and she is already getting out of everything then you better break her or she will get hurt, lost or killed. She wants to hunt and explore it's natural and that's what you want just not on the street or in your nabiors yard!6ft kennels are standard and she should not be able to climb that high yet? if you need a top that outdoor shade farbic that home depot sells works good zip tie at every gromet and she won't get out.She sounds like she too smart for her own good,I would take her out for walks in the woods when you get home from work it will make her sleep better. You are the pack leader and when she's not with the pack (aka) your family she is lonely and bored maybe a little scared and if she barks enough she gets rewarded by coming inside to be with the pack.If you look around you should be able to find someone to go out hunting with and both of you could learn from it.Don't give up on her she could be a natural sounds like she got the brains for sure.Once Hounds get older they really mellow out and make the best pets around the house, mine don't hardly bark unless their is a good reason they don't jump, dig,or need consent petting, but it takes a few years before that happens.

How do you break them of it? she doesn't wonder off she goes to the front door and lays on the porch.(not to say her nose wont get the best of her one day) I'v stopped letting her in through the front door so that she know going to the front door will not get her in, she is very smart but stubborn x 10. and i also do not let her in if she's barking and howling only when she's calmed down and quiet does she get to come in. But that could take awhile considering she barks for hours. unfortunatly right now i am working 10-12 hour days and cant take her out everyday.Right now i'm getting her out 1 day a week with my buddys hounds and we run them 3-4 miles and do a little scenting (he has pups to) when the snow hits work should stop and i'll have alot of time to get out with her.
