Coons and Bobcats

Postby NoCreek » Tue Aug 30, 2011 12:49 pm

I got 2 young English dogs that im starting on coons and should have them doing really well by this winter but I was wandering if I also might be able to get these pups to run bobcats...Is it hard to get a dog to run two types of game? I am also going to rig these pups this winter on coon I figure that will make it easier to get them rigging for Cats as well...What is the best way to approach this? Should I get them going on coon and then start on cats after they are treeing coon good or just go with both at the same time?

My dogs run lots of things!! Coons, Bobcats, Lion, Bear,Coyotes, Deer, Elk, Squirrels, Rabbits, Cars..........
but seriously, my best advise would be to start with coons and give them lots of encouragement if they happen to “trash” on a bobcat.
