Wyoming

Postby VTtoWY307 » Sun Jan 13, 2013 10:02 pm

Just got my first dog Redbone/ Black and Tan mix. She's 4 months old and I've just started working with her. I was wondering if there were any other people in my area (Fremont county) who have dogs and can maybe teach me a few things and has older dogs I can hunt my dog with?

I live near Riverton, Wy you are more than welcome to come down here and hunt coons. I have roll cages that you can put your pup on at first to see how she works the cage if your interested.

I really like to hunt coons anytime, when it's cold and all the water is frozen I really like to hunt the cattails. But in the summer I try to hunt anytime I can, that way my dogs are in shape to hunt long tails in the winter.
Youre welcome anytime and it sounds like your female is doing real good. I just had surgery three weeks ago and the doctor says I need to take it easy for a couple more weeks, but when I get healed up you should come down I have a few honey holes, plus my next door neighbor (two miles away) allows me hunt there corn fields later in the summer.

Just let me know when you plan on hunting next and I'll be there. Would you mind if I brought my pup?

Alright that sounds good, look forward to hunting with you and for sure bring your pup. If you don't have a tracking collar I have extra's that we can put one one her and if you want we can go find some deer or antelope and she how she will reacts.

How long have you been in Wyoming?

I don't have a tracking collar as of yet. She sees deer daily and all she ever does is bark at them she never chases them. I've been in Wyoming for a year and a half.

I tied to get a hold of you thru your phone and never heard back from you. I thought I'd try here just in case you lost your phone. Hope all is well.
