How to get Pups interested

Postby Holzy » Mon May 06, 2013 9:31 pm

I'm train my 7 month old b&t and not as interested as the other pups. Seem to be more skittish around the older dogs. And she's coming along and as her litter mates get more interested. Im just wondering what everyone else does? I have faith she'll come along with practice I was just wondering what other ppl do to light a spark in young dogs.
Thanks

Get a caged coon and let your pups start goin nuts then after 20 minutes put it away for a couple days. Do this for a few weeks then start putting cage in tree same thing 20 minutes then take it away. After they got that all down and show interest let that coon out and hold dogs back for a few seconds then let them trail it tree it then you shake it out and run it again. Don't worry I got a 10 month pup that just started barkin at a caged coon but trails lions with older dogs. Give them time and if they don't like a caged coon put them on some good tracks. If they got it in them it will all start rolling out naturally just font give up on them yet.
