generally greyhounds are smarter than that, but mine has a learning curve that is ruler straight. i blame it on the saluki (arabian greyhound) blood in him.

I have an Italian greyhound that is hell on squirells (and anything else that will run) He doesn't tree well but he chases anything that moves and barks every breath. Once had a ptient that said he used 3 dog on bear: a beagle and greyhound and a fiest or a terrier (can't remember for sure now)...Used them in stages, the way he explained it to me.

I had a walker crossed with a greyhound about only 1/4 or ?? but she was hell on cats and was fast. it was a weird cross and did not make the best looking dogs, but got the job done.
