coon hunting?

so we whent out last night and all the coons were in trees, what causes this, is it time we whent out, weather, time of year, ect. what are your thoughts on this. we saw 7 coons and six were spotted in trees. :?:

Heavy winds will keep em den'd up around here. Could be sleeping who knows could be numerous things? Got a lay up dog?
