how can u tell

Postby houndcrazy93 » Wed Jan 20, 2010 5:00 pm

hey everyone i took my hound out the other night. i was walking him on a stream. when we took a track hard. i held on to his leash for a while while we chased what ever it iwas. i was hunting in a area with lots of sticker bushes. and some corn field. but i didnt want to let him go cuz i couldnt figure out what he was runing. i think it was either a coyote or a a coon. what to you all think it was. should i have let him go anyways

bency said it right cut'em loose ( on a creek no less!) but have your collar ready. i might also add a good check dog would be nice but if you dont have one you hopefuly know your dog's mouth good enough to know with in a min. or 2
