big or small

Postby buster95 » Mon Mar 01, 2010 7:36 pm

do you prefer a big or small dog for coon hunting??small ones get around alot beter and it seems eaiser for them..but i see alot of dogs bred to big dogs..why???are they generaly louder or something?i have a little walker slightly bigger than a big beagle and she can go everywhere an is loud and trees hard but my big huge walker who isnt as good gets more offers than the female..just cuz he looks good but my little one would make him look like a fool if each went on a coon

just look around its the american way. i told my buddy he needed a new truck his was costing him 4 to five hundred a month in breakdowns so whats he do goes out and gets a40000 dollar ton truck with a huge engine he can afford the payments and insurance but not the gas to run it on his weekly pay there fore he cant go hunting .long story short bigger is definately not always better.

smaller does not always equal quicker. I have my stud Nimmer and his littermate Assad and these two can hold it down with the smaller ones, they may not be equally matched in speed but the difference is just noticeable but they are agile as anyother hound I have seen and have all the nose power.
