Money in coon

Postby Powder River Walker » Thu Mar 04, 2010 5:35 pm

I was wondering if there is any way to make money with coon hunting?

Now, if there was a good way I think most of us would be doing it! LOl, A good friend of mine and I have bounced around the idea of having a guide license and taking guys on guided coon hunts. Maybe hunt with them till midnight or so then do a little tailgate breakfast or something...We prob never will but it sure sounded good one night walking through the woods.

I know guys have made money coon hunting but it's in the dogs and hunts...Actually, I guess it depends on your definiton of "make money"...my definition is different than most and I don't think you can really make money and get ahead in anything hound dog related...But man, it sure is fun eh?!!!!!!

Brady,
I was thinking that after my dogs get better, there is a coon problem alot of places that grow oats and corn. I wonder if they would pay to have their coons taken care of.

Who knows, they might?! I know the farmers I deal with wouldn't pay...Then again I'm just happy to have access to their places to hunt!

I dont have any dogs yet but I trap coon a lot for farmers who have big feed lots. Those dang coon will eat the crap out of the syllage and corn they feed the cattle. Right now I trap two large feed lots all winter long the farmer pays me ten dollars a coon then I skin em and dry em and sell em to the fur buyer. Fur prices on coon this year have been horrible but on the one lot alone I took fifteen coon and on the other i took twenty. When I get some dogs I will run em on the coon instead of trap them. Man it's fun to ketch those little suckers.

Fair question, and yeah, there’s definitely ways to make a bit from coon hunting—selling hides, pups, or training dogs for others. But if you're looking for real returns, I’d say pair your passion with something like crypto affiliate marketing. The high commission rates in that space blow most other options out of the water, especially with the size of the transactions involved. Have a look at https://mjac.io/—it’s solid for getting started without much faff.
