No Tritronics

I was a good thing that I did not have my new Tritronics EXP collars on my potlickers this morning or I would have burned up some dogs. After roading about half a mile, Lizzie struck a good track and Rip and Ten covered her. They did not trail any where before they jumped and left there as if running a deer. Out of hearing in less than a couple of minutes with me trying to cut the distance in my pickup. I picked up Daisy as she had evidently not made it over a sheep fence but could not hear my other junk. I got out the tracking system and found them north in the neighboring ranch but still too far to hear. I drove to the fenceline seperating the ranches but again, all was quite. I pulled out the tracking system and found Rip not too far off. I began calling and Rip and Ten came to the fence. I wanted to scold them but they appeared to have been in a tussle. Lizzie showed up a little later and she was bleeding from a couple of places, confirming that they had made the catch.
Loaded up and moved further west. Rip struck and all began trailing south. They trailed over half a mile and finally jumped. The race was on and I was sure they were going to catch on the ground again. Made a Liar out of me as the coon decided to gain elevation in a live oak.
I guess sometimes it is good not to have the collars on the dogs.
Adios,
Gary
