Hey-
I may be really dense, but can any of you help me make some sense of the CA regulations on hunting coon. I'm pretty sure the kill season is over right?, but is it legal to pursue them, until deer season? Did I read that incorrectly? Also, anybody on the North Coast willing to let a guy tryin' to get into this sport tag along? Any info would be appreciated.

I know is some areas, mostly SoCal the seasons is a little different, but Coon season here is not closed until March 31. Bobcat season is closed the end of the month, maybe thats what you were confusing it with.
Once season is closed you can persue them all you want until opening of Deer season (Archery season) at that time no dogs in the woods at all for nothing. Sucks, cause they can ticket you for roading dogs off a leash. So the 2-3 weeks before bear season, the time they need excersize most, you can't have them out. So you spend the first week or two of season just getting them in shape.
