My daughters first coon tree. "Video"

Post by Dewatto »

This year I started taking my two daughters coon hunting with me. They are 6 and 8 years old. We tried hunting at night on our first hunt and treed a sow with two kits, but we found out that my girls are scared of the dark so we all didnt make it into the tree that night. So we started hunting in the early morings and I was able to get them under a tree. My kids are little troopers and didnt complain they were all about getting into the tree.
In the video you wont get to see the coon in the first tree but the girls got to see it. the coon was way up at the top of the tree and the girls patience wore thin with me taking to long to get a shot on it. So we packed up and moved on to tree two more coons on a swamp. My girls and me tried to get to this tree as well but the terrain proved to be difficult for the kids so I ended up being the only one to get to this tree.

I hope you enjoy the video we sure had fun making it.

We buried hunter back in January, he got sick in september and couldnt shake it. Our vet kept treating him for a Bacterial infecton but it came back three times and the last time his imune system just shut down. Its kinda of funny you say we dont need him, cuss after he died the rest of the hounds had to step up and were now catching more game with out him.

Yeah I take the kids out during the day just cuss its alot easier. And they get to see everything thats going on.
