I use Jack Russell Terriers to hunt coon, opossum, squirrells on tree. Also hunt them in the dirt with badger and fox. I believe the jagdterrier will for sure hunt coon but I wouldnt cross it with a hound.

Some Jagds make good tree dogs and some do not. Any of them can tree coon but not all of them will bark up the tree. the biggest problem is keeping them on coon. It can be done, but takes some work. They get easily distracted by other game. Some will hunt with you and for you and some do not. The ones that do not are a huge pain because you will lose them.

There are many hundreds of coon killed each year with terriers in barns and old buildings. Most of these guys use dogs that are not quite as rough as most jagds.

I know of a jagd crossed on a hound that made an outstanding bobcat dog. I know of an Irish terrier/hound cross that also made a tremendous bobcat dog. Coon was nothing for him. He was the best dog in a pack of high powered Treeing Walkers; the best cold tracker by far.
