you might on a good day get a couple bucks for these texas hides . i make more on the meat

Cant say what TX hides are doing. The ones I get here in Northern Cal. bring $5 from a small up to $25 and even $30 for a really nice one.

yeah live the chinese have brought the market back for the heavey hides . hell we haven't had a winter down here in so long the hides just don't get heavy . the northern small coons are what we call large lol . i wish it would all come back to like it was in the 80's them was good times for all . i wouldn't even get on my dogs too bad for treein a big ol possum lol even they was worth skinnin.

In wisconsin this last year i was getting 25 to 30 for early season hides and up to 35 for later season. (Thats for 25 pound plus coon) the smaller ones bring from 10 to 20 sometimes less.

halfbreed,what part of Texas do you live in? down here in southeast Texas we have good sized coon everywhere, I trapped one last winter just messing around and he's hanging on my wall , stretching 32 inches, and have trapped some over 30.

simmons i'm up here in the northeast section athens canton area . and of the many coons i've killed and skinned since the sixty's i can count on one hand the ones that went over 30
#'s i haven't hunted coon since the 90's been killin hogs . since hide market dropped off and people quit huntin and trappin so much there maybe some bigguns out there lol . i;m gonna find out this winter that's for sure .
