hounds in town
Is there anyone here that has hounds in town that has managed to keep there neigbors off there back. I know I can use bark collars, but hate to have the cops at my door step. Im thinking curs would be the only way to go.
Re: hounds in town
Curs can bark in your yard as well specially as pups. Just a matter of keeping them entertained/tired and when to bark. I live in the city of Sacramento, ca and have hounds that never make a peep.

I suggest you check with your County pr City Animal Control Dept. and see what they require for a Kennel License if you have over so many dogs. I know here it is just a matter of having an amimal control officier stop by inspect that the dogs are well cared for and have proper housing and such and then you give them $25. and they give you a yearly kennel license. I know this is kind of a pain but should you have some problem neiaghbor that wants to call the law, you just produce your kenel license and tell them you keep the dog quiet but dogs will be dogs and at times bark. you won't have any probelms and that will shut the bad neighbors down. Not too much they can do anyway but some towns have a rule you can't have over a certain number of dogs or you must declare it a business and obtain a permit.

if its like Oregon, you have to get the neighbors signatures to approve kennel license.
