rain didnt hurt the hunting.

horrible hot and humid tonight but got minn, trix, and little jam loaded and did some rig hunting for few miles half hour before dark. was raining off and on as well. trix rigged decent right by a farm place i hunt around all the time but way she was looking was right towards place a couple in 80s live and didnt wanna go there on purpose even though got permission. i felt if treed would be by house. LOL.

rain got worse but made one freecast. dogs were out 600 plus and trix struck and started working but sounded like crap! real hazy almost foggy and sound wasnt carrying tonight. minn and jam made loop back towards where trix struck but didnt say anything for another 300 yds roughly while trix picked away. old dogs blew up like looking at something for couple hundred and treed hard. jam treed right behind. getting in there minn moved on 50 yds and located hard then went back to trix. jam moved couple hundred yards without saying anything and slammed treed. sounded outstanding again and stayed put. jam has done this couple times and when i rush to him he moves on and circles around. so i let him be.

got into girls found coon. could tell minn wanted to move so followed her 50 yds away and had another. snuck into jam couple hundred away and he was treed on tiny tree that went into bunch of small trees and brush connected. he was still cranking and girls blew up little ways away and treed with him. for the life of me couldnt find coon until the kit moved. 8ft tall weeds grown into this mess of 15ft tall scrub made me embarrassed took so long to find it! whole run woulda been gravy if not raining so hard off and on and foggy. little jam gonna be nice honest dog once his brain catches up to body. really a scent checker and will not tree just cause another dog is.

was gonna take him to wi bear running this summer but seems so independent would probably be counter productive. nice dog that hasnt even irritated me to bad. LOL.
