Headlamps
Just wondering what everyone is using for a headlamp when coon hunting. Overall brightness and battery life are my two main concerns. Can anyone recommend a light. Also are there any brands I should avoid?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Headlamps
I have a bright eyes snake eye's model . Also switches from white l.e.d.'s to red l.e.d's which work nice for walking into hemlocks or foxhunting

Re: Headlamps
I use a light I bought from Nite-Time Hunting Supply called the Son Light. It is LED, quite bright, has 3 levels of brightness, comes with a few different lens caps, and holds a charge for a long time. I bought mine a couple years ago at Autumn Oaks and it is still going strong. Below is a link to their website.

Re: Headlamps
I've got the boss hotspot 3D on a bump cap and have never seen anything brighter. Has an extremely long battery life (I charge mine once a week hunting 4-5 nights) and has the super bright white, red, and green. 5 levels of brightness on all 3 colors. No lens covers to keep up with. $279 at Conkeys outdoors and comes in a cap light, box light, and belt light. $279 may seem a little steep but its well worth the money.

Nothing really beats a petzl, lots of models to choose from. Generally decent battery life.

Re: Headlamps
Battery life on the Razor is extremely long, I am not sure how long it will go. Nice thing is, it is extremely lightweight which is so important to me.
