dog killed last night coon hunting

Postby pat_kemp » Sat Nov 01, 2008 11:03 pm

I had me one of my pups get killed last night. I turned 4 dogs loose and two of my old dogs went and started a coon also one of my pups was with them well they had it caught in about 10 minutes a big 32 pound sow. well i got there and my pup cashus wasnt there so i pulled out the tracker and i tracked him all night tell about 4 in the morning i couldnt get close to him in the dark because of a big cliff embankment thing. His signal never moved all night so i thought that was pretty weird. So i came back early this morning and tracked him again and i found him dead. He jumped off the little ledge deal and a stick stabbed him right through the heart and came out right in front of his hind leg. He was 8 months and kicken ass. He was going to be my best bear dog in a year.

thats him i dont have a very good pic

Sorry to hear about your pup. I guess accidents happen to even the good ones.

Yes, that's a tough one, to lose your pup. If the stick did pierce the heart, it was quick........if that's any consolation.
