Coon hunting for kids.

Postby Poundhound » Tue Feb 17, 2009 9:36 pm

These are just a few pics of from a den tree that I went to three times in one night. No matter how far I dropped dogs from this tree, eventually they ended up back at this tree. We got to see an eye peak out of the hole every now and then, but the coon wasn't about to come out where we could get a poke at him. So we left him in the tree. . . . Three times. :D :D

Good looking pups. It is always nice to see the young folks getting into it. It has been said, Kids that hunt and fish don't rob and rape.

good job, i live in roseburg and coon hunt alot. i take my kids and my buddies, they all love it. what would be really cool would be to get a club around here and i know that there is enough people around that would do it because alot of the comunity hunts. might get the kids off of the street and keep them outa trouble. just dont really know how to get it going. by the way, nice pics.

Last night I took the older kids hunting. My oldest boy Cub is now 19 years young, and we took along a couple friends of about the same age that are trying to get a start with some coon dogs of their own. The night started hard and fast with a coon in the tree in a short amount of time. It was a blast. Here are some of the pics that we took.

Gotta love it.

The reason I hunt this blood is a quote a friend gave me,"Your either making dust or your eating it."
