Saturday nigth coon hunt

I just wanted to share this so all would know if you ever ran in to the same thing.
On Saturday night went to one of the duck clubs I hunt down south. We were hunting three of my dogs my male redbone, my little plott female and my new trigg male. Both the redbone and the trigg have been doing great on coon this year. My little plott female is doing great on bear but was not showing much on coon. My hunting buddy had his 2 Famous Amos breed redbones and his walker female. We turned in all the dogs when we got there and treed two with in 3 min. We shot one out and left one. We then turned to keep hunting and my litle plott female swam the canal and started working the other side. We moved on I thought she would just jump right back in with the other dogs. We hunted about 1/4 mile from first tree and they treed some more. Still no plott, to make a long story short we hunted around the club treed lots of coon that night. We got back to starting point still no plott. I pulled out the tracking box and she was right about where she had swam the canal. I called she was not moving and she is the type to always come in when called. So I went in to her she was on other side of canal. I called she would not come to me just run down to the canal then right back up the other side. I was so mad I thought she was playing. I drove around the canal and back in to where I had seen her there she was under a tree with a nice big coon up in it. I guess she just wanted to show me that coon so bad she kept trying to tell me but was hoarse and couldnt bark any longer. What a great way to start not only did she tree like a pro but did it on her own.
I have to say this was the first time I ever had a dog go hoarse coon huntng. If she ever does this again I will know what to look for.
