Kind of curious as to what you all feed the pups?
I have my dogs on Solid Gold Hund-n-Flocken.

Its a great food, kinda pricey though, but sure has cleaned up their coats since I put them on it. Their previos owner had them on OLE ROY, did not like that stuff at all.
The feed I am giving now is for semi active dogs, I will put them on the performance feed which is much higher protein when the season satrts and I start running them. This is the high protein food below.

puppy food tested by time mothods
As from weaning I start em on VET`s (horse meat) can dog food/ best in the world for babys !
At 4 months of age I switch too dry feed (Pro Hound Black Gold) but I feed twice a day and the early morning meal I run hot water over it and lay on a slice of white bread and then poore off the water and let it sit a minute then I go and ground the bred into the swollen black gold dog feed and make it into like a substance of meat loaf, and cool and feed befor it gets too hardden up.
By 6-7 months of age that pup if kept wormed and in clean kennels or chain area/ will look all most asround a yr old ! By a year of age that pup will look 2 yrs old and maturity and all .
Just remember his body looks way more mature but his mind and bones are yet baby aged and all ya have done is give him a psyicall edge over other ogs his age .If your a hunter who starts em in the woods early-on ya need too prepair they body build and size and height too/ not just a hard padd and desire too run and tree up .
We (me and Ronnie Rice an Richard Lewis) hunted our different stocks from 5-6 months of age any they would go, they would track an tree up as a litter, but we kept raisen litters out of kept lines of dogs that was line bred up .When I met Rick Summers who had ole Burt and he was allready a Ca. State Hunt winner and allready a bear dog in the woods an he had offspring out of Burt on the ground at less than 12 months old tht was running and treeing and basying on bear as a litter / I learned something new ! Ya don`t have too wait till the dog is 20 months old an pen raised too start then bear hunting the dog ! Istill believe the dog who is pen raised and started at 20 months old makes a better hound becausehis brain is older as he learns it and he puts it together better in his head and goes on futher in what he finishes-out in the woods too become when finished/ however in bear stock of hound or biggame stock the same early eager-beaver and gett wooded abilitys and desires show as babys in puppys if its there bred an born in em !
So put as much of a matured body and all as ya can on your puppys and no one believes that pup is that young lessen they check the ribb cage growth an spred between ribbs/ then they scrat their heads an say how`d ya get him so advanced in looks ?
