The good news is that the end users are starting to cut back on driving so the demand for gas is off. Now if we could convince the congress and senate to allow a little bit of drilling prices would start to dop off.

Anyone who gives a comparsion of our gas prices to what gas prices are in europe, should get kicked square in the nuts for being an idiot. If you drove the entire length of the UK, you wouldn't get over 1,000 miles. I can easily put on that much in a long weekend of hunting.

The majority of America (landwise) is rural and lots of people DON'T live close to town. It's sad when you've got to put in $10 JUST to get to town and back. And there are probably a lot of people who have to put in more than that. This doesn't even factor in the rise in food prices because of fuel costs. People in Rural America are generally taking a pay cut, just so they can live in the country.

Gas prices for the last couple days in my hometown have been $3.97 a gallon for the cheap stuff.

Here's a map of the average gas prices around the US.
