I was reading some headlines the other day. One particular headline stated that Amount of Hunters have declined. The data was collected from 1996-2006. I believe it was a 12% decline in numbers. Have any of you noticed anything supporting this data and if so what would be some reasons?
To me I have seen a decline, not sure if it was above 10% but it was noticeable. The reason I have noticed is that a lot of areas that we used to hunt have become unavailable and by doing so the other areas have become overcrowded.

Iread the same article. It was Funny that I noticied the biggest decline was in the States that no longer have hound hunting.
The Northwest and the North East lost the most hunters.
Wish there was a way to see how much land and how many new hunters we get out of the Prez. new order to open more public for hunting and to make it easier for us to use them.
