I was shopping online for training scent. I found that Grawes had bobcat for 40.00 for a 16 oz bottle of bobcat and that Bill Boatman had the same size package for 27.00 thats almost half. Do you think you get what you paid for or is that a heck of deal?

Grawes uses the actual scent glands from the animals they make scents out of. The glands they use are the ones that give the animal its natural "smell" and thats what the dogs are smelling when they smell that animal. Alot of other brands just use urine of that animal that is just mixed with some other stuff.

A beach towel left in the sleeping courters of the desired game. I pick one up and drop one off. I use rubber gloves and put the towel in a trash bag.

i have a question about these scents they have out there. is it ok to just drag a towel covered in the scent and then hang the towel in the tree or should you use an actual hide from the critter your chasing?

Either one will work the real hide is better. Just do not over do it and make it fun.
You can hang it in a tree after you drag it. I let mine put there teeth in it for a few minutes and praise them after they find it or tree it.

you want to vary the scent object, and sometimes not hang it in the tree. otherwise, pups will get to associate the visual object with the game. You may end up with pups treeing towels on the clothesline if you always use towels.
